AUTUMN now OPAL

Autumn was lovingly fostered by Dena before her adoption.

Autumn was such a gem that her new mom, Laura, named her Opal.  Opal and Laura will make their home together in Georgia where they will be joining Opal's new sister, Dora.  We hear the two girls are becoming great friends and Laura now has twice the joy in her life.

DREAMS CAME TRUE FOR OPAL!!!

LEVI

Levi was lovingly fostered by Leslie in Tennessee until his adoption.

Levi was one of 4 retired puppy mill breeder dogs that came from Alabama. Levi was the only male and 9 years of age. He had a horrible mouth and ended up loosing several teeth. Levi craved love and wanted to be cuddled up with a human at all times. After only 3 short weeks of introducing him to normal things, we felt he was ready to learn the rest in a permanent home. He went locally to Lisa, and will have a older sister, Scully who is also a rescue and a pug mix.

JUST BLUE SKIES AHEAD FOR LEVI!!!

PEPE now OLIVER

Pepe, now Oliver, was lovingly fostered by Katie and Gion Mendez in Greer, SC until his adoption on March 25, 2013. He came in to the rescue very wary of new people and uncomfortable with receiving love. Now, he is enjoying his new home, and snuggling up to his new moms! Oliver has landed his perfect home with Jenny and Johanna also in Greer, SC…not far from Katie and Gion! Oliver is getting comfortable with his new family and his very handsome fur brother, Lex. The four are enjoying getting to know each other. Play dates will be scheduled so he can see his foster sisters again soon.

THREE CHEERS FOR OLIVER!!!

Eddie not only got a new home and a new mom, but a new BIG brother named Benny.  In the picture Eddie is a little hidden behind Benny.  Looks like Eddie will have plenty of fun in his new home.

WAY TO GO, EDDIE!!!

MAGGIE

Maggie was lovingly fostered by David in The Villages, Florida.

Maggie is now living in beautiful south Florida with Denny and Jo. Maggie's blindness hasn't kept her from living the good life with her new family. She loves her new backyard and extended family of schnauzer cousins who live close by.

HAPPY DAYS AHEAD FOR MAGGIE!!!

TOBY

Toby was lovingly fostered by John & Lisa in Florida until his adoption.

Toby came into rescue after being found wondering the streets looking for a home for Christmas. This poor little fellow didn't want to be alone for the holidays and was trying his best to remain on Santa's good list when he met Roberto & Melissa. They loved his energy and strikingly handsome schnauzer looks. So on December 21st they decided to add Toby to their family.

Toby now has a loving family, including two human children to play with and a new fur brother, Baxter, to show him the ropes.

HAPPY EVER AFTER FOR TOBY!!!

BAXTER

Baxter was fostered by Matt and Danny in Odenville, AL. Baxter came from the Pell City Animal Shelter. He was covered in mats, dirty, and he was very apprehensive of humans. After a good grooming and full vetting Baxter blossomed into a handsome, new dog.

After meeting Baxter, the Armstrong family  knew he was a perfect fit for them. Baxter now has a new fur sister, 2 cats, 3 kids, and 2 new parents to love. The great news is he made himself at home immediately! Baxter is pictured here with a few of his new family members.

NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES FOR BAXTER!!!

SCOOTER now SCOUT
Scooter was fostered by Matt and Danny in Odenville, AL. He was taken in by SLR as a stray. It took him a little while to open up to his new foster family, but day by day more of his personality came to light.

One day while Scout was being walked in the neighborhood, one of the neighbors came out to talk to Scooter's foster parent. They had not consider the breed or adopting a dog, but Scooter had other plans. Four days later the Scott's adopted him and call him Scout. SInce he lives nearby his foster parents still get to see him. Could you ask for anything better??? Here's a picture of many in his new family:p Madison, Gaven, Kassie (holding Scout), Tim (holding Neyland), and Eyan.

HAPPY TAILS FOR SCOUT!!!

MAX

Max was fostered by Matt and Danny in Odenville, AL. Max was surrendered to SLR. He had been kept outside, and was covered with hair. Max was scared and did not like being handled at all. A good grooming, vetting, and some hands on attention, and Max blossomed.

Joyce and Ted contacted Matt and Danny wanting to meet Max.  Max took right to them from the start. It was as if this was where he was meant to live.  Now Max enjoys spending time with his family in Helena, AL. We were told he especially likes the scenery from his new sunroom watching squirrels and geese galore!

YOU HIT THE JACKPOT, MAX!!!

Billie and her spouse had 2 schnauzers previously and are really happy to have the companionship of another one. Although, Rusty is going to miss his foster brothers and sister, but he is going to love being the "Top Dog" in his new home.

THE BEST IS YET TO BE FOR RUSTY!!!

PEBBLES

Pebbles, a sweet blind 9 year old. was adopted  by Katie and Joe in north Georgia.  Katie and Joe had already adopted another older girl named Cookie from SLR back in December. They report the two girls are getting along really well. Katie and Joe have also agreed to help us with home visits in north Georgia, so we are excited about that as well.
