MAXINE

Maxine (aka: Maxi) adopted Jenna Rook, a Senior Vet Student @ U. F. and was fostered by Fred and Joy Cox of Morriston, FL.

Maxi says that her adoption of Jenna is going to work out great. She got to sleep in bed with Jenna the first night and intends to make it a permanent arrangement.  And, when Jenna had to go to Publix she did not have to crate Maxi and she did fine. Jenna has a beautiful cat and some kittens and Maxi thinks they are really cool. Her roommates dog is kinda nice also.i

HAPPY EVER AFTER, MAXI!!!

BUDDY

Buddy came to SLR via the animal shelter as a stray. He was always loving and didn't know a stranger. He was fostered with Denise McMillan in TN.

Buddy now lives in Florida with Harry. He is now king of the road in his dad's motor home. As you can see he loves his new daddy. Now Buddy gets to travel the roads all over the US making friends all along the way.

HAPPY MOTORING, BUDDY!!!

GINO now SEBASTIAN

Gino, now Sebastian, was adopted by Michael & Debra of Knoxville, TN. He was fostered by Rachel & Joseph in Cordova, TN. Gino was one of four dogs surrendered by an owner in Arkansas, and he has been a good boy from the very start. Now he has new parents and two boys of his very own to snuggle with.

If this letter from his new family is any indication, he's going to be even more spoiled in no time! "He's doing so incredibly well, and has adjusted ridiculously easy and spends a lot of time next to my eldest son on the couch getting his belly rubbed!  We are so very happy with him!"

YOU HIT THE JACKPOT, GINO!!!

ABBEY

Abbey was lovingly fostered by Denise in Tennessee.

Abbey is now living in beautiful Tampa, Florida with Sandra and Julie. Abbey's age hasn't kept her from living the good life with her new family. She loves her new fur buddies that watch over her and is being loved by her new parents. (Not to mention getting kissed by Rick Springfield!!!)

HAPPY DAYS AHEAD FOR ABBEY!!!

JOSHUA

Joshua was lovingly fostered by Fran in Tennessee until his adoption.

Joshua went to his forever home with Kimberly & Michael from Brandon MS. Joshua was an owner surrender to a shelter due to being aggressive with the owner's other dog. Joshua spent almost a month in prison and lost 5 lbs from his original 20 lb frame.

Joshua will be an only baby in the his new home and Kimberly plans on spoiling Joshua before she returns to her teaching job.

ONLY BLUE SKIES FOR JOSHUA!!!

KIRBY

Kirby was lovingly fostered by Fran in Tennessee.

He now has a forever home with Tracy & Craig of Birmingham, AL. Kirby will be joining their three other dogs, Natalie, Gabe, & Tasha along with two feathered siblings. Already Kirby has become a Daddy's girl and whines when Craig is out of her sight.

WAY TO GO KIRBY!!!

MILO

Milo was surrendered by his family to SLR in Mississippi, and was lovingly fostered by Bill and Robin and their dog Amos.

Jim and Donna in central Florida saw Milo on the website on the very first day he was posted and wanted him. It became clear that Jim and Donna were the right match for Milo.

Milo had a 5 hour drive in his new mom's lap to make it home on his adoption day. We hear Milo has already learned the doggy door in his new home! Second chances are what SLR does best, and Milo’s story is a heart-warming example of this.

THREE CHEERS FOR MILO!!!

VAL

Val, aka Valentino, came to SLR on Valentine's Day and was lovingly fostered through his heartworm treatment by Dot in Florida.

Val enjoyed playing with the youngest Schnauzer in his foster home, but he was ready for a home all his own.

Friday, June 28th, was Val's big day. He was adopted by Tim and Herb, and their daughter Jordan from the Orlando area. Pictured are Herb and Jordan when they met Val.

THE BEST IS YET TO BE FOR VAL!!!

SAM

Don and Diana of Marietta, GA fostered loveable little chilled-out Sam, and now he has a "forever home" and family that truly appreciate his wonderfully relaxed and sweet temperament! He was adopted by Sandy and her son Max, and now he is becoming quite the little clown and big brother to his little sister, Sophie. Sam is so very loved and appreciated in his new home. Keep those kisses coming.

IT'S THE GOOD LIFE FOR SAM!!!

ANYA

Anya was fostered in Cocoa Beach by Erika White. She was an owner surrender. Her previous owner could not keep her. So at 7 years old, she has been adopted by this wonderful amily of Kissimmee, FL. Iverlisse and Israel and their 3 happy daughters Nalani, Milany and Leilani.

Anya was used to living with a single person so now she is getting used to receiving more love and attention then she ever thought possible.

NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES FOR ANYA!!!

ROBIN

Robin was fostered in Georgia by Dawn  until her adoption.

Robin was adopted by Michael, Renee and Emelie!  When Emelie and Robin met, it was love at first sight!  Robin is already the talk of the neighborhood!  For her first time, Robin has her own backyard, but her forever family prefers to show her off to the neighbors! Congratulations Robin on her forever family!

WAY TO GO ROBIN!!!

MILLIE

Millie was lovingly fostered by Tom and Esther in Ocala, FL. She was adopted in June to Harold and his sweet wife Margot near Orlando.

At seven years old, Millie found herself in a shelter. When we picked her up, she hopped in the car and immediately rolled over for a belly rub! We knew this was a special girl from the start. Millie was in foster care for a very short time when Harold, who helps SLR with transports, called and said that he and his wife had fallen for Millie! In addition to her mom and dad Millie has a new brother named Harley. We are thrilled to see Millie land in the lap of luxury and thankful to have Harold's help getting SLR dogs from shelters into the safety of their new foster homes.

HAPPY TAILS, MILLIE

GRETCHEN

Gretchen was fostered in Marietta, SC by Joan and Paul. Now Gretchen has found her forever home with her new Dad, Don, in East Tennessee. She is teaching her new Dad what treats she likes and how much activity she thinks they both need. Soon Don will be wrapped around her little paw and doing her biding which is the way it should be.

HAPPY EVER AFTER, GRETCHEN!!!

SCOTTIE & TEX

Scottie and Tex were fostered in Tampa, FL for four weeks by Tara and Scott.. These boys had been together all their little lives so we were trying our hardest to keep them together.

Sharon  and her son, Travis were the angels they were waiting on. They adopted both the boys last Friday and they seem to be a great fit.It has been reported that they are spoiling the boys rotten. The boys had so much love to share and they found the perfect family to share it with.

In the photo is Sharon and her son Travis with their new babies Scottie and Tex.

DREAMS CAME TRUE FOR SCOTTIE & TEX!!!
