Sophie2
Sophie is a sweet 8.5 lb. Schnoodle with salt and pepper coloring. Sophie is off-the-
scale on the cuteness chart! She is fostered in upstate SC. Sophie is about 3 years old, spayed, current on all vaccinations and in good health. She occasionally favors her left
front leg and sometimes walks with a little limp. Other times she runs like the wind with no apparent thought to her leg. It has been checked and just needs to be monitored.

Sophie3Sophie will do well in a home with one or two adults. She is OK with older children who understand how to be gentle with her left leg. She is likely to snap if she feels pressure on that leg. Sophie has been around other dogs and seems to settle in OK. If there are other dogs in the home, it would be best if they are not so big that she could be hurt in rough play.

Sophie4Sophie loves leashed walks. Her walks are her adventures, so “heel” is not in her repertoire (yet). She plays contentedly in the flower beds (in a fenced yard) searchingfor frogs and lizards. She would LOVE to catch one, or two, or all of them… but, so far,
they have evaded her! Sophie also plays fetch with her ball and loves her squeaky toys.

Sophie5Sophie lived a rough life until the Humane Society stepped in. Happily, she was adopted and enjoyed a loving home and improved health. Unfortunately, Sophie’s new humans had to surrender her to SLR due to her tendency to escape. Sophie must have a securely fenced yard. She should also be on a leash or behind a gate whenever an exterior door is open. Sophie must be supervised when she is in her fenced yard.

Sophie uses a crate when her foster person is away. She also sleeps at night in a crate next to her foster person’s bed. She would LOVE to sleep in the human bed if that is your style. Be cautious not to let her jump down from a tall bed; she will wait for you to
set her down. She can easily jump on the sofa for a good cuddle.

Sophie6Sophie is true to her Schnauzer/Poodle roots and will “talk” to you and let you know when she needs to go out, wants to eat, or just wants to get your attention. She is fully house trained.
