My name is Cool and being fostered in the Florida panhandle. Everyone I meet tells me how cute I am. I am a 1-year old neutered male who is thankful to the wonderful folks at SLR for rescuing me from the animal shelter. The people at the shelter were nice to me, but I was scared and didn’t want them to touch me. Through their patience they determined my age and they say I am a schnauzer mix. I weigh 19 lbs., have courser hair and longer body than most schnauzers. I do shed a little. I am full of energy, I LOVE toys of all kinds, and enjoy enrichment activities. My foster mom and dad like to call me Rocket because I am speedy quick and I love to show off my zoomie speed every chance I get. I am a little shy when I first meet new people but quickly warm up. I play well with children and other dogs (even big dogs like my standard schnauzer foster brother). I enjoy going places with you and if you take me in the car I usually curl up and nap. I am VERY food motivated and have learned sit, stay and sometimes will even return my ball to you for a treat. I have a tendency to eat too fast so my foster mom gave me a slow feeder bowl which has helped. I like to eat carrots, cucumbers, blueberries, strawberries, yogurt, bananas and other healthy foods fresh or frozen.

I sleep in my crate at night and don’t mind being in it when you run errands. I appreciate your leaving me a treat while you’re gone. I love being outside playing, chasing balls, going for walks and “biting” the water out of a hose. I am house-trained but I may have an accident until you earn my signaling and routine. I don’t know how I’d get along with cats, but when I see them on my walks I would like to chase them.

I’m very sweet, playful and energetic.
