Playful ‘Perry’ was pulled from a shelter after SLR was contacted. He is being fostered on the East Coast of FL. He is enjoying a fenced in yard to roam in at his foster mom’s house. If after reading Perry’s biography, you are interested in knowing more details about him, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter ‘Perry’ as the young, lap dog you would like to provide a forever home to.
Perry is a one year old mix that weighs in at 13 lbs. He has large natural ears (the better to hear you with) and a natural tail that he loves to chase. Of course he is neutered and up-to-date on all of his vaccines. Perry is a ‘Wanna Be’ Schnauzer. His top coat is reddish brown while his legs have the Schnauzer mix of black/grey/cream. He does not shed. Perry has a ‘cherry eye’. There are various reasons for this - it can be caused by environmental allergies. He is house trained (has free roam of the house) and leash trained. He has never been crated. Perry is fine when he meets other dogs on a walk.
Perry needs a fenced yard to get his ‘puppy energy out.’ He also enjoys his daily walks in the neighborhood. Children would be fine but no felines for this young boy! Perry is a ‘chewer of toys.’ Best to give him hard toys to chew on. He will pull the eyes off the soft ones! Perry loves to be near his person. He does not like to be left alone and will let everyone in barking distance know this! He needs a single family home where someone is home most of the day. The barking should subside once he realizes that you always come home to him!
