Meet Roscoe.  He is approximately 12 years old and  weighs 21 pounds.  He is being fostered in coastal Mississippi. Very little is known about his life before rescue, but he has come a long way since SLR got him.   With new effective medications for his heart murmur and arthritis, Roscoe is now a much happier camper. But, like many older people, his eyes, ears, and teeth reflect his age. Most importantly, Roscoe is a warm, loving dog who wants to be part of your life going forward.

Roscoe likes being where the action is and he is comfortable with wherever you are and whatever you're doing. He just wants to be there with you. Roscoe loves to be rubbed, scratched, and gently played with; and you will smile at his sounds of contentment.  Roscoe is housetrained, leash trained, and crate trained.  He is good with other dogs, and likes a car ride.

Roscoe enjoys being outside, but his arthritis makes longer walks painful. He will do best with someone who has a more sedate lifestyle; and that person will not be lonely again. Ideally in his new home, he will be able to walk right out the back door into his fenced yard.  If there are steps or stairs, he will need help from his new Mom or Dad.
