Winston came into our lives on February 28th, 2003 at 4 months of age. He had come from a puppy mill and we decided no more puppy mill dogs ever again. We got Bonnie a year later from a rescue. Winston was such a wonderful dog, - so smart and comical. He was the best dog ever. During our move from RI to FL Winston ended up picking up an amphetamine in the hotel we stayed at, or one of the rest stops we stopped at along I-95. Sadly he died the next day from an overdose. Please Please Please, remember to check the floors and under the beds of hotels you stay at and watch the area your dog goes the bathroom at in rest stops. It could mean his/her life. After Winston died I looked into adopting with SLR.  Instead, I have become a foster home for rescue dogs. I do it lovingly in Winston's memory.
