PiperB
PIPER

Piper was graciously fostered by David, in The Villages, FL.

Piper came to SLR as an owner-surrender. She knew she met her Forever Family, when she met Kathryn & Armand and their two children of Altamonte Springs. Piper is also thrilled to have a fur brother, Gonni, to run around the backyard with. Piper was a birthday gift for their 8 years old daughter. Now brother and sister each have their own dog to care for. Kathryn states that Piper has the sweetest and most lovely personality. Way to go Piper!

DigitEssie
ESSIE and DIGIT

Our ‘Energetic Essie & Digit’ were fondly fostered by Sue, in Jackson, TN.

Ten years old Essie and her 12 years old mother, Digit (DG), were thrilled to meet their new Forever Mom, Teresa, of Lakeland, FL. These adorable ladies had a wonderful team of TN, GA, & FL volunteers transport them to their beautiful new home. The ladies are enjoying their new fenced-in backyard as Essie hops and jumps all over the yard and Digit provides border patrol as she walks the perimeter. Both dogs are thrilled that Teresa’s daughter, Emily, is home for the summer to meet their every need! Teresa states that, “they are the sweetest dogs anyone could ever wish for and receive.” Once again - Senior Dogs Are Sensational!

Gunner
GUNNER

Our ‘Gentle Gunner’ was lovingly fostered by Katelyn, in Daytona Beach, FL.

Gunner definitely found his forever home when he met Barbara & Doug of Boca Raton. Gunner was also thrilled to meet his new sister, Lily, a 14 year-old Miniature Schnauzer. Lily is being a good role model for Gunner as she demonstrates how well she & Barney, the cat, get along. Gunner & Barney are taking baby steps in getting to know each other – no fur flying yet! Gunner is thrilled that he chose Barbara & Doug for his forever home!

ChipGreta
CHIP and GRETA

Chip & Greta were lovingly fostered by Susan, in Milton, FL.

Chip & Greta are the best of friends. You will often find them resting on the floor with Chip’s head on Greta’s back, sound asleep. Chip & Greta were rescued by SLR at the same time, but Greta was heartworm positive. She successfully went through the treatment as Chip waited patiently for her. During that time, Chip was always on the lookout for their forever home. He found it when he heard about Sandi & Murray of Melbourne, FL. These best friends are enjoying their new home and are very thankful for such a loving and safe haven. These two will be spoiled for years to come!

Ziggy
ZIGGY

Our ‘Zesty Ziggy’ was lovingly fostered by Tracy & Bruce, in Port St Lucie, FL.

Ziggy arrived at his new home with Sherrie & Mark of Loxahatchee, to find he had a new fur brother, Oliver, a 13 year old Miniature Schnauzer. They are getting to know each other as they run around in their fenced-in backyard. Ziggy will be going camping with his new family and visiting his other home in PA at different times of the year. Sherrie’s one word to describe Ziggy is , ‘Awesome!’
