The ‘Bossman’ has entered the Rescue! This name definitely suits this12 yr old Schnauzer! Bossman is 12.5 lbs, has a docked tail and natural ears. His coloring is a combination of liver and parti. Bossman is house and leash trained. He does not need a crate. He can be left alone to roam freely for 8-10 hrs. with no issues. Bossman is excellent when riding in a car. He recently did a seven hour car trip - he relaxed and slept the majority of the time. Children 8+ would be fine as his previous home had children.
Even though Bossman has an oversized personality, he is not a big toy player. Because he is an ‘Alpha’ boy, he needs to be an only dog or with a non-Alpha dog. He does love to wrestle with one of the foster’s dogs that is about the same size. Bossman will bark to be picked up and will give you the ‘Schnauzer Stare’ (and bark) until you do. He ignores the UPS driver when a package is delivered. Bossman is a pro at being groomed. The groomer stated that “he’s so sweet!”
Bossman had a hernia repair and a dental - he only had one extraction! Pretty good for a Schnauzer! He has a Grade 4 heart murmur and is on a daily medication. Bossman would love to be with you whether you are sleeping, watching tv or working on your computer. He wants to be involved in all activities! Bossman enjoys having his belly rubbed and his ears and chin scratched.
