Benji is a sweet boy, estimated to be 4 years old, weighing in at about 19lbs. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His foster home is in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina.

Benji’s theme song is “Boys just wanna have fun”. This happy boy enjoys life, and we think he has a battery-operated tail that is rarely in the off position. He absolutely loves balls and if no one can play with him, he will entertain himself and anyone watching. He plays very well with the resident dog who is a bit larger than him and is respectful of the pups that are smaller than him. He also gets along with the resident cat.

When he arrived, he was a bit shy but after decompressing he became a happy, loving, energetic, playful pup. He sleeps in his dog bed (upside down!) but has recently found that the human bed, if allowed, is awesome. He is learning leash manners and pulls from excitement. With continued training he will be great. Benji thinks everything is a toy, so it is probably best not to be around young kids.

Benji’s energy will be suited best to someone that is home part time or has another dog to be his buddy. Benji added that there is a very important criteria for his adoptive family. They must be able to supply a lifetime of endless ball play, and if they have a squeaker even better!
