Jax2A few months ago, SLR took in 3 schnauzer mix litter mates: Jax, Wally and Johnnie. Both of their parents had passed away and left them as well as two other furry siblings. Their human sibling, a vet tech, lovingly took them into her home and her fur family increased to 8. She made the very hard decisioncto contact SLR to see if they could help her find homes for these sweet pups. Wally and Johnnie have found their forever homes in east TN, but Jax is still patiently waiting for his forever family. Can you open your heart to give him the best home ever?

Jax3Here is a little bit about this sweet boy:
Jax is an 8 year old, 35 pound schnauzer mix—a large mini or a very small standard. He is a love bug with soulful eyes and beautiful manners who will snuggle with you all day long. He doesn't bark a lot. He's a bit shy at first (especially with men) then hewarms up.  He likes to go for car rides. He loves to play and nap with the other doggies.  He’s always up for treats.  He loves running in the yard so a fenced in back yard is necessary. He loves hanging out with his foster sister, but would probably be okay as an only dog as well. He sometimes has a bit of anxiety (don’t we all?) and takes a medication at night that helps. He's very healthy and has had a dental in the past few months. He responds well to his name and is a very good boy at the groomer and even when boarded. He is crate and house trained and usually sleeps
in his crate at night.

Hey: he’s even good with kitties!!

Jax5Jax1Jax dreams of. and deserves. a forever home with someone or a family who will love him forever. If you are interested, fill out an application and ask for Jax inTennessee.
