Timid 'Charlie,’ one of the famous FL-28 that were rescued from a hoarding situation, is taking applications for his perfect forever home! Charlie who is 18 months old, is salt and pepper and weighs in at 17#. He has natural ears and a natural tail. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Charlie is house trained and crate trained. He continues to work on his leash training. A fenced yard is important for Charlie. He is very comfortable in his crate. He likes to sleep in his own little home at night.
Charlie loves his daily walks in the neighborhood. He is still very cautious when he sees other people. He had not been exposed to many humans in his former home. He is very timid when meeting other dogs on his daily walks. Riding in a car is another new experience for Charlie. He loves to ride in the car and jumps in energetically. He has his teddy bear that he drags around his foster home to play with. News alert - Charlie is not a barker!! As Charlie Brown stated, “There’s no sense in doing a lot of barking if you don’t really have anything to say.” As he was used to having so many other dogs in his home, Charlie must have another dog to learn from. He enjoys meeting older children when out for a walk.
A fenced yard is a must for Charlie - No condo living for this young boy. He is still learning to be a dog. He has such a sweet disposition. If you will share your pieces of apples and carrots with him, you will have a new best friend. If you would like additional information about sweet Charlie, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter ‘Charlie’ as the sweet, appreciative young boy you would like to provide a loving forever home to.
