Hey, SLR schnauzer mix Toby here. I am about 2.5 years old, neutered, and current on the doctor stuff. I am being fostered in Raleigh NC. 

Foster moms say I have come out of my shell and become a loving 21 lb. lap dog. I love being close to my humans. Foster mom thinks I’ve never had a human love me properly and get to “dog” before. I am a grateful rescue that is smart as well as good looking. I get along with the resident cats and love running and playing with my foster bro in the fenced backyard. I really enjoy walks, camping, pretty much up for any activity as long as I’m with my humans. I will spoon with my human at bedtime if allowed.

I am an expert toy destuffer and have been put on toy restriction except for a few tougher toys and get to play tug of war with foster bro. I can be a bit timid when meeting someone new, but once the stranger danger passes, usually a few minutes, I am all pets and loving.

Not sure about young kids, but older kids I think would be fun to play with. Crating? I have spent all or most of my life in a crate (we think, based on condition and behavior) so foster mom thinks I don’t ever need to be crated again. I just didn’t know that dogs could run and play before SLR saved me.
