Willow4
Meet Willow! Also known as “Princess”! Or Princess Willow as we sometimes call her.  She was surrendered by her owner who was unable to keep her. She was listed as 3 years old, but she acts as though she is a little bit younger.  Willow has LOTS of energy. She is being fostered in Durham, NC, weighs 15 lbs, is up-to-date on her vaccinations, and will even let you brush her teeth!

She is house-trained, however make sure she goes out when she wakes in the morning before breakfast, and always within 30-60 minutes after her breakfast and dinner.  She currently gets a walk mid-morning and later in the day or early evening, weather permitting.  She is not afraid of rain.  Willow does expect a little treat when she returns and will let you know if you forget.

Willow3If you are gone for extended periods, she can be crated, or confined to a small room.  She is still in the “puppy” stage of chewing on her toys and small balls, so do not leave your socks on the floor.  She likes to gnaw on a Whimzee dental treat or stuffed “Kong”, and you will be amazed how fast she finishes. And if you go to the refrigerator late in the evening, she will be right there with you! She’s expecting a taste of non-fat yogurt – that’s her ice cream treat.

Willow LOVES to run and jump and PLAY!  She loves to cuddle, give kisses, go for walks and play with toys.  She wants to be with her human companions every minute of the day, and jumps so high into the air when you come home that you might think she could fly!  She is very “food motivated”, and smart - she is a
very quick learner

Willow2Princess Willow loves to meet other dogs and people, and she is fascinated with frogs, birds, butterflies and squirrels.  Lately a tiny blue butterfly has been following her, and she tries to catch it.  She prefers to sleep on the “big bed”; either in her dog bed, on a fleece, and sometimes even under the covers!

Beware: This little girl will steal your heart.  Heart
