Missy2
Sunshine Greetings from ‘Missy’ (Lil Miss) in Southwest, FL!  I was found roaming the streets, very tired and hungry. When no owner could be found, the lovely lady who took me in, had 3 other dogs and could not keep me. As a result, she contacted SLR. I am enjoying taking long walks in the mornings and evenings when it is a little cooler outdoors. I take a few quick potty breaks during the day and back into the air-conditioning I go. If after reading my autobiography, you are interested in knowing more details about me, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter ‘Missy’ as the thankful Schnauzer you would like to provide a forever home to.

Missy3The vet man says I am 10-11 years young. I am salt & pepper, have natural ears and a docked tail. I weigh 20 lbs. Of course I am spayed and up-to-date on all of my vaccines. I am house trained, crate trained and leash trained. Even though I am crate trained, I will bark if I hear something outside. A single family home would be best for me.

Missy4Foster mom describes me as an ‘Alpha Lady!’ I like to be in charge of other dogs - especially females. Therefore, I must be an only dog. I would do best in an adult only home where someone is home most of the day. Foster mom also describes me as a ‘velcro’ girl. I am always within site of her. She also states I have ‘selective hearing.’ I do hear when she uses a high pitch and says the words ‘breakfast’ or ‘dinner!’  The vet man told my foster mom I have something called ‘cataracts’ in both of my eyes. My right eye is better than my left, as I can still see just fine - especially when looking for my foster mom, my toys and my food bowl!
