Hi, schnauzer lovers!  I’m Bud. I’ve been told I’m a very handsome young man (4 years old) and I have to agree. As you can see, I’m salt and pepper with great schnauzer markings. Who doesn’t love that???!!!! Oh, and I’m sturdy and muscular (I love being a he-man) – a large mini or small standard schnauzer weighing in at 30 lbs., who loves to play! My foster mom says I’m crazy about playing, and she’s right!!!!  I’ve had all the regular things done to get me ready for my forever home - neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines. My foster mom says I’m super sweet and very smart  I just love her and her husband. Also, I am an expert  leash walker; just be sure to use a harness. 

The past few years were rough; I lived in a home where they just left me in the garage all the time.  I was very lonely, so I am very happy now that I’m in my foster home. I just can’t stop taking squeaky toys to my humans because my favorite thing is to play.  Or maybe my favorite thing is to run around the fenced back yard. Oh, wait, maybe it is to be pet and rubbed, especially when I roll over and they rub my belly. Ahhhhhhh, I’m putty in their hands. I also love a good meal, but I’m still on a diet, so I try not to think about food too much.

Because of my (sad) history, I have to have a home where my new parents are home a lot. I’m fine being left in the X-pen for 4-5 hours now and then, but it breaks my heart to be left alone all day. I also must have a fenced back yard and parents who will play with me a lot. I’ll play tug with squeaky toys and I get so excited to chase a ball!  Woo hoo! Oh, another thing, I’m very muscular and bigger than a mini schnauzer, so you’ll need to like that. Something else important to know about me is that, I’m bossy around smaller dogs (sorry), so I’d be great as an only dog, or with another dog that is at least my size.  I still might try to push them out of the way so you’ll pet and play with ME. But it’ll be OK. With your help, I’ll get used to it. And no little kids for me 

I am completely house-trained. I am great in the car for short rides; if you take me on a long trip, you’ll want to give me some anti-nausea med (trust me on that).  One other very important thing – I hate to admit, but I’m a nervous wreck at the groomer. It just really scares me. So, I need to be sedated for grooming. (Yea, I know - I’ve tried to get in touch with my Zen and be calm but when they come at me with scissors or the dreaded clippers, I just lose it.)

So, in closing – I am looking for parents who are home and play with me a LOT and love on me all the time. I must have a fenced-in yard.  I’m Mr. Muscle, so no lightweight parents for me. I need to be an only dog or can have a fur sibling if they are at least my size. No little kiddos  And I need sedated grooming.
