Hi, my name is Dusty. I am a 10-year-old male schnauzer. I was found as a stray. I have a silver coat and a tail. I have a microchip, but my rescuers were unable to find my owners. I remember them, but somehow, they got lost from me and I was on my own for a while. I was very happy to be rescued… I needed a bath and a haircut pretty badly (and some good food!) SLR saw to my immediate needs, and I had a vet check too.
I am now being fostered by a nice lady in Myrtle Beach SC, and she is so good to me. I can easily eat all the good food she gives me since I went to the vet and had a dental procedure. I weigh 19 pounds. I like to take walks and to greet other dogs and people. I don’t dig; I am not aggressive or an Alpha. Sometime other dogs get confused as I like to bark at them and wag my tail. I like to greet children and adults and enjoy being touched with lots of petting. Sometimes I whine to get more attention, I like it so much!
I do not like to be kept in a crate; I prefer to sleep on dog beds and rugs. I rarely sleep on the sofa, although that’s allowed. My foster mom doesn’t let me sleep in the human bed, but my dog bed is in the room with her. I follow her around and nap wherever she is. I love car rides… especially to Tractor Supply. She tells me that I’m a really good boy! I would love a home with other dogs and a fenced yard where I can play. I can join a family with or without children. I just want someone home most of the day to be with me and love me.
If I sound the perfect addition to your family, please submit an application and ask for Dusty in South Carolina.
