Meet Chico! As you can tell from his pix, he is a huge football fan! He gets so excited he just nods off, no matter what is happening on the field. (Haha!). He’s a 15 lb., beautiful brown and white 7-year-old parti schnauzer and looking for his forever home. He’s neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations and is one happy, sweet little dude. He has wonderful potty manners, is great on a leash, crate-trained and is just a good boy! He gets too excited around little people, so better a home with kids 10 or older. And no kitties, please because he loves to chase them.
Chico loves other dogs and likes to play with them, especially little fun dogs. He and the alpha dogs in his foster home have come to a mutual understanding of respect, and are playing some. But even so, we think a home where the other dogs are not alphas is better – or he could be very happy is an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention.
He absolutely loves to run and chase around in a fenced backyard, so that is important. If there are chickens next door or squirrels and birds running around, all the better to bark at. He’s not a fan of elevators so no apartment - he will ride in the car, but it’s not his favorite thing. If you are sitting down, Chico is likely to be snuggling in your lap or next to you. He carries around toys, but hasn’t yet played with them. And he enjoys eating his meals in his crate, which is his safe place.
His foster mom, who says he is just “the best little dog!” also says Chico’s three favorite things are, “going on walks, hanging out in the fenced backyard watching and chasing birds and other critters, and snuggling. Oh, and treats.” If you can deliver on those things and are looking for a handsome, sweet, happy little schnauzer, Chico might be your fella!
