I was surrendered to a shelter after being hit by a car.  The amazing volunteers at SLR "pulled" me from the shelter, brought me to the vet and paid for my back legs and shattered pelvis, Entropia eye surgery and my neuter.  After healing, I was given a bath and a groom.  They thought I was a Standard Schnauzer but after a DNA test, it turns out, I am a Bear Coat Sharpei!  I am about a year old and I weigh 45-50lbs.  Sometimes I think I am a lap dog.

This is my perfect Family:  Now that my legs and pelvis have healed, I LOVE to be outside and run, so I will need a fenced in yard.  I am house trained.  I like to lay on a soft bed, blanket or sofa.  I LOVE toys but my true favorite is a good old fashion sock!  I am not food driven or aggressive.  I know I am not a fan of small children, cats or squirrels.

Sometimes I bark when I see people and other dogs but it is because I want to say "hi".  I enjoy riding in the car and I am comfortable on a boat.  I have a 2 year old foster sister so having a playmate would be ok too.  I would like an outdoor/active family that understands I can be independent and stubborn. I am UTD on all vaccinations, flea/tick and HW meds.
