Aloha! Meet ‘Kailee.’ In Hawaiian, Kailee means ‘Sea & Sky.’ She is being fostered in FL. If you are interested in knowing more about Kailee after reading her biography, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter Kailee as the sweet, loving lady you would like to provide a forever home to. If you have already had your interview, the foster mom will contact you to answer any additional questions you may have.

Kailee1Kailee is a ‘Parti’ color (black/white/silver) She weighs 15 lbs., is approximately 10 years old, and has natural ears and a natural tail. This little lady is house trained. No crating for her! She is working on her leash training. Of course she is spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots. She lost several teeth during her dental and now the remaining teeth are pearly white. She is a mix but she does not shed. She is not an ‘Alpha’ dog and is even friendly to cats. Kailee will be best in an adult home only. She would be fine as an only dog but also enjoys the companionship of other dogs.

Kailee9Kailee is blind and deaf. She needs a stable environment where the furniture stays in place once she is part of the family. Kailee learns her environment very quickly as she is very confident and smart and has learned to overcome her vision and hearing issues – one might say her IQ is in the gifted range! She loves to cuddle with her foster and stays close to ‘her person’ throughout the day.

Kailee8Kailee is treat motivated and has learned the command to ‘sit.’ She also knows when it is time to have her leash put on and go for a walk. Kailee has learned various ‘touches’ and what they mean. She is now working on a new touch for ‘down.’ Kailee would like a forever home that would enjoy continuing with teaching her various commands. If you feel you are the Forever Home that Kailee is looking for, please complete an adoption application and enter ‘Kailee’ as the sweet lady you are interested in. If you have an active application, please e-mail jamosher@bellsouth.net
