Kailee3Aloha! Meet ‘Kind Kailee.’ In Hawaiian, Kailee means ‘Sea & Sky.’ She is being fostered in SC. If you are interested in knowing more about Kailee after reading her biography, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter Kailee as the sweet, loving lady you would like to provide a forever home to. If you have already had your interview, the foster mom will contact you to answer any additional questions you may have.

Kailee is salt & pepper, weighs 12 lbs., is approximately 10 years old, and has natural ears and a natural tail. This little lady is house trained. No crating for her! She is working on her leash training. Of course she is spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots. She lost several teeth during her dental and now the remaining teeth are pearly white. She is a mix but she does not shed. She is not an ‘Alpha’ dog and even has a feline friend. Kailee will be best in an adult home only – with or without another dog.

Kailee2Five Senses In A Dog:

Sight: Kailee is blind. She is anxious at first in a new environment. She likes to roam the house and smell everything as she figures out where there are obstacles that need to be avoided. She dreams of the blue sky she once could see.

Hearing: Kailee is deaf. You just need to approach her gently and let her smell your hand. She can then be picked up to go outside.

Smell: Kailee loves to wander in the yard. She takes time to smell the flowers and all the lovely fragrances that nature has to offer. She dreams of the smell of the salty sea.

Touch: Kailee loves to be loved. You can often find Kailee taking a nap during the day on top of her foster dad’s shoes.

Taste: Kailee loves the food that she eats twice a day and any healthy treats that she is given.

Kailee4Kailee is loved by everyone she meets and she returns that love. She adjusted well in her foster home. If you feel you are the Forever Home that Kailee is looking for, please complete an adoption application and enter ‘Kind Kailee’ as the sweet lady you are interested in.
