Meet beautiful Bella! She is being fostered in south FL. If you are interested in knowing more about Bella after reading this biography, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter ‘Bella’ as the sweet lady you would like to provide a forever home to. If you have already had your interview, the foster mom will contact you to answer any additional questions you may have.

Bella3SLR was contacted by a FL Shelter that there was a sweet, female Schnauzer that needed to be rescued. Bella is salt & pepper, weighs 10 lbs., is approximately 11 years old, and has natural ears and natural tail. This little lady is house, leash and crate trained. Of course she is spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots.

Bella4‘Hear no evil – See no evil – Speak no evil.

Bella is almost completely deaf, is blind and speaks when she needs to go outside or when she first meets you. She can hear you if you whistle in a high pitch. She actually loves when you whistle for her so she knows where you are and that she’s not alone. She can be a little shy/timid when you first meet, is fine with other dogs or as an only dog and has a healthy appetite. She will play on the floor with you and would love a forever home where someone is home the majority of the day. Bella is low maintenance, takes several naps during the day, and has a small limp from an old injury.  A fenced-in yard would be best for her safety.

Bella loves to be loved! Due to her vision issues, she is given drops in both eyes twice a day and extra ointment in her left eye. Her foster mom states that Bella has ‘prospered and grown younger since being in foster care.’ Because of her sight issues, Bella is nervous when traveling in a car or when visiting the groomer.

Bella5Moral: Don’t dwell on what you don’t have – Celebrate what you have!

If you feel you are beautiful Bella’s Forever Home, please complete an adoption application and enter Bella as the sweet lady you are interested in. If you have an active application, please e-mail for any additional information you may need.
