Meet Turbo! – He is being fostered in South FL. If you are interested in Turbo, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter ‘Turbo’ as the handsome boy you are interested in. If you have already had your interview, you will be able to speak with the foster mom to ask any other questions you may have.

Turbo4Turbo was rescued from a shelter in South FL. He is 6 years old and weighs 17 lbs. As you can see from his pictures, he is mostly black with a little white sprinkled in, has natural ears and a docked tail. He is house, crate and leash trained. Of course he is neutered and up-to-date on all of his shots. Turbo rides well in a car and truly loves everyone he meets – as they do him.

Turbo6Turbo has been diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). At this time, he still sees shadows but at some point will be completely blind. He will need to see an eye specialist once a year but other than that he is completely healthy. He learned to navigate his foster home in a matter of hours – such a smart Schnauzer! Once he learns his backyard, he roams freely and even finds his way back to the door. Turbo enjoys his walks in the neighborhood and feels the difference from sidewalk to grass. Turbo definitely needs another dog in the home as a companion to ‘lead the way’ and to be his forever friend. Older children are fine. A one story home is also a must for Turbo.

Turbo3Turbo follows his foster mom around the house. He greets her at the front door when she returns home and all he wants is a hug. If you are looking for an easy going young dog who loves to sit on the couch with you and cuddle, then Turbo is the boy for you. If you meet Turbo’s needs and are interested in hearing more about him, please complete an adoption application and enter ‘Turbo’ as the handsome, sweet boy you would like to provide a forever home to. If you have already completed an application, please e-mail for additional information.
